Teacher net	The DfES teacher's portal, gateway to the world of education online. TeacherNet aims to provide easy access to the full range of relevant government information and services and, shortly, to National Grid for Learning badged classroom resources.

Whether you are looking to update your subject knowledge, need support for INSET or want the latest educational news, you'll find the most up-to-date information at your fingertips. Some samples on this website have an animated walk through to show how TeachandLearn.net can be used to support or deliver your CPD needs.
NC in action	This website uses pupils' work and case study material to show what the National Curriculum in ICT looks like in practice.
QCA schemes	This scheme shows how the ICT programme of study for key stage 3 can be translated into manageable units of work.
National Strategy	The Key Stage 3 National Strategy produces materials and resources to support schools in raising standards at Key Stage 3. This section gives information about publications produced by the Key Stage 3 National Strategy, and allows you to download files and order copies.
ICT Framework 7 etc	This Framework for teaching ICT capability: Years 7, 8 and 9 is similar to the Frameworks for teaching English, mathematics and science. It gives practical advice on meeting the National Curriculum requirements for ICT capability. It interprets the National Curriculum programme of study for ICT in Key Stage 3, building on the DfES/QCA publication ICT: a scheme of work for Key Stage 3, referred to in this document as the QCA scheme of work for ICT.
Key Stage 3 National Strategy	The Key Stage 3 National Strategy aims to raise standards by strengthening teaching and learning across the curriculum for all pupils aged 11 to 14.

QTS standards	The Standards for the award of Qualified Teacher Status are outcome statements that set out what a trainee teacher must know, understand and be able to do to be awarded QTS.

TTA	This area is primarily for trainees. It covers: the skills tests: about the tests, booking and contacts; qualifying to teach: the professional standards and requirements; teaching in a diverse society: resources and guidance for minority ethnic trainees; strategies for numeracy, literacy & ICT: details and links to further information; funding for trainees: loans and grants; and useful links: other useful websites.
Teachers’ TV	An editorially independent channel offering the opportunity to see how other teachers teach, by letting you into the classroom. The Archive has info on every show transmitted and you can view most of them online
Teachers Support Line	Provided by the Teachers Benevolent Fund and supported by the TTA: the teacher support network is the national 24-hour telephone counselling, support and advice service for teachers. The Teacher Support Line is fully confidential and absolutely free to all teacher trainees and teachers in primary and secondary schools in England and Wales. You can now access counselling using e-mail through the web site. Simply follow the links from the homepage.
UK Libraries Plus	UK Libraries Plus provides a scheme linking 115 UK HE libraries to allow reciprocal borrowing for part-time, distance-learning and placement students (which often includes Bed and PGCE courses).
justforteachers.co.uk.	This site provides support for NQTs and teachers in the areas of good practice, career guidance and teaching resources. You can send in your particular problems and receive free advice from a trained career advisor, educational psychologist and legal advisor.
